Source-NavigatorTM Mailing Lists
We provide several mailing lists for discussions about
Source-Navigator development, announcements, bug reports,
patches, and end user questions. Be aware that you will
need to subscribe to a mailing list before posting, as
posts from non-members are automatically rejected.
This is required so that spammers don't turn the mailing
lists into a useless mess of advertisements.
- sourcenav-user
- A list for general discussion about Source-Navigator.
Any related subject not covered by
another list is appropriate here; in practice, most of
the discussions are about ideas for future changes.
- sourcenav-devl
- A list for developers to discuss Source-Navigator
implemenation issues.
- sourcenav-patch
- A list for developers to post proposed patches as well
as those that have been committed to CVS.
Archives for each of these lists can be accessed by clicking
on the links above.
The Source-Navigator mailing lists are a public discussion
area. Everyone is welcome to join the discussion,
but there are a few ground rules that each
participant must follow.
- Plain text posts
Some otherwise decent folks send out HTML encoded
emails without realizing that the text is completely illegible
to a wide variety of email clients. Don't be one of these
people.
- Fictional contract claims
Some organizations require disclaimers along the
lines of "This email may contain confidential information. By
reading it you agree to sign over your first born child."
Obviously, these claims are a legal fantasy. Posts including
such claims are strictly forbidden.
